There can be a lot of confusion when it comes to financial matters.  I am passionate about making things easy to understand, so that clients can get on with enjoying their life and confidently prepare for the future.

Tom's career in the finance industry spans nearly 40 years, including a long career in retail banking and 24 years as a financial planner. Joining StatePlus in 1992, Tom has enjoyed working in a number of management roles within the Company including regional manager for the Newcastle and Sydney offices, professional standards manager and then area manager for Newcastle. Taking a career break to complete studies in family counselling and run a private counselling practice for three years, Tom rejoined StatePlus in 2007 as a financial planner before being promoted to the role of Regional Manager for the Company's Ballina office.

Tom's extensive experience in financial planning ensures a confident and practical approach to meeting the needs of his clients. His client focused philosophy places priority on identifying the financial goals of each client and working in partnership to develop relevant strategies to meet the objectives of each individual.

With five children, Tom and his wife enjoy a busy lifestyle, but still find time for bushwalking, travel and shopping. He recently published his first book ‘Choose Your Pain’. Tom was born in Sydney and has lived in many parts of Australia before moving to Ballina.
